We said our goodbyes to Mrs. and Mr. Ganesh and Cauvery Homestay in Irpu. Our first of two photography expeditions in South India was coming to a close, although on our way back to Bangalore we visited Nargarahole, a wildlife sanctuary in Karnataka and found great excitement!

Ashleigh and I arrived in Bangalore around 5:30 p.m. The enormous Indian sun was hanging low on the horizon, just minutes from disappearing. This was the sun I’d come to see, the one lodged in my mind for years as I dreamed of the subcontinent. Huge, blood red and heavy.
